You don't need to clean the Auk often, but we recommend quickly cleaning it when starting it over.

In summary:

  • Pots can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
  • The base plate and water tank must be cleaned by hand (with a dish brush or similar). Don't get too much water around the control panel (the base plate's buttons); the electronics are underneath.

 

Pots: Can be cleaned in the dishwasher or by hand.


Base plate: This can be cleaned with a damp cloth, dish brush, or similar. It cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Be careful not to get too much water around the base plate's buttons; that's where the electronics are. This is why it can't be cleaned in the dishwasher.

You can use a small dish brush or cotton swabs to clean where the nutrient capsules are located.

 

Water tank: Can be cleaned with a dish brush or similar, not in the dishwasher. Be gentle around the valve in the water tank to avoid damaging it.
