1. Pour coco fiber into the pots

Tip: To avoid spilling, fill the pots inside the shipping box.

2. Insert the pots

Place the pots in whichever way you prefer โ€“ you can rearrange them later.

Place your Auk on a flat surface out of direct sunlight. Auk will make sure the plants receive just the right amount of light๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

3. Mount the plant light

Tip: Push the cable down into the hole, so it doesn't get in the way.

4. Insert the nutrient capsules

Remember to remove the sticker that seals the capsule opening

For later: Check the capsules when refilling water. If you see an empty capsule, simply replace or refill it. The plants will easily survive a few days without nutrients :)

5. Mount the valve in the water tank

First, drop the ball into the tank, then install the valve. Align the valve using the guide pin. To snap it into place, gently push down in the middle:

6. Insert and fill the water tank

7. Plant your seeds of choice ๐ŸŒฑ

Place the seeds evenly in each pot, then gently press them down so theyโ€™re covered with soil (moisture in the soil makes the seeds sprout).

Oregano, mint, watercress, and lemon balm need light to germinate, so leave them on the surface. All our other seeds goes below the surface.

Check the back of the seed package for planting recommendations. You'll also find info for each seed on the product page for each seed.

8. Plug in the power

Congratulations, you're all set! Auk will do the first watering within 24 hours.

Your Auk is pre-programmed with the herbs and salad program. However, please keep the plant chip for herbs and salad (that was included in your order), in case you need it for a reset in the future.

Growing chili or tomatoes?
Then place the red plant chip (chili and tomato program) on the plant receiver. The chip is read when the buttons on the panel light up from 1 to 5, and then back to 1. The chip is only needed for the startup; after that, you can store it in a safe place.

Adjust the plant light as it grows to ensure it stays approx. 4 inches (10cm) above the plants.

Best of luck with your gardening! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Most herbs and salads are ready for harvest after 4-6 weeks, with temperature as the deciding factor. See the articles below to learn more.
